"Girl U Want" is so fuckin' good that it shouldn't be here, but rather be in a poll for bestest rockin'est floor-fillingest nu wave song ever.

"Girl U Want"
"I Want You to Want Me"
"I'll Talk to Ya Later"
"I'm the Man"
"Just What I Needed"
"Let's Go"
"My Sharona"
"Peace, Love, and Understanding"

I went with Girl U Want as well, although I struggled not picking Beatiful World...best Target commercial song ever.

In Edgy's poll I'll take the Cars all the way.

In order:
Uncontrollable Urge
Jocko Homo
Girl U Want
Through Being Cool
Beautiful World
Peek-a-Boo
Jerkin Back and Forth
Here to Go

What can I say, I'm a first album kind of guy. Sad that there was no
"Mongoloid" or "Satisfaction."

Also, voting on the song not on the videos as, being at work, I really can't be spending time looking at them.

Write-in vote for Mongoloid, song puts a stupid grin on my face
just thinking about it as I sit here bringing home the bacon.

It's a pretty hot live version of "Urge" above. I only link live vids when they rawk.

The selection of "Mongoloid" vids wasn't great. Damn suburban robots are always monitoring reality.

The delegate from Massachusetts abstains, courteously.

(I don't know any of these songs).

Would "Mongoloid" be my vote? Maybe, woulda been in the top two or three. One of the few songs of theirs of any note where Mark Mothersbaugh isn't the lead vocalist. "Jerkin' Back and Forth" and "Here to Go" don't belong on any list of their best songs.

"I'm the Man"
"I'll Talk to Ya Later"
"Just What I Needed"
"My Sharona"
"I Want You to Want Me"

I quite like "Here to Go" -- bo-oi-oi-oi-oing! (the video is cool too, soince it's like a Devo video highlight reel).

The VIP was never meant to be an all-inclusive list. Devo toes the line as one of those bands with too many good songs to make the VIP work.

Correct order:
"My Sharona"
"I'm the Man"
"Peace, Love, and Understanding"
"Let's Go"
"Girl U Want"
"Just What I Needed"
"I Want You to Want Me"
"I'll Talk to Ya Later"

I went with Girl U Want...but my first choice would be Freedom of Choice.

Edgy's poll in my order:
"Peace, Love, and Understanding" (which was in my CPF sig in 2001)
"I'm the Man"
"Just What I Needed"
"Let's Go"
"I Want You to Want Me"
"Girl U Want"
"I'll Talk to Ya Later"
"My Sharona"
